Singapore’s Top 9 Storage Facilities Compared (2026)

An honest 2026 comparison of 9 Singapore storage providers, from self-storage to door-to-door, with current prices, access and the trade-offs of each.

Full disclosure: we're Reddot Movers, and VaultFlow (first on this list) is our own storage service. We've tried to be fair to everyone else here, including the trade-offs of our own service. Prices for other companies are taken from their websites in October 2026 and may have changed since.

Looking for storage in Singapore usually comes down to one question first: do you want to drive to a unit and carry things yourself, or have someone collect and store them for you? Both work. They suit different situations, and they're priced very differently.

We've moved homes and offices in Singapore for over 20 years, so we see the storage side every week: renovations that overrun, flats between handovers, expats leaving for a year, businesses running out of room. Below are nine storage providers we'd consider, what each is actually good at, and what to watch out for.

Quick comparison

Starting prices are the lowest published on each company's website or recent reviews in October 2026. They're a guide only; always get a quote for the size you need.

Self-storage or door-to-door storage: which do you need?

Choose self-storage if you need to get to your things often, at any hour, and can arrange your own transport. Choose door-to-door storage if you mostly need things kept safe for a while and would rather not rent a van, carry boxes or pay for empty space.

Self-storage means you rent a locked unit or room in a facility. You bring your things there yourself (or pay a mover), keep the key or PIN, and visit whenever the facility allows, often 24/7. You pay for the floor space, whether you fill it or not.

Door-to-door storage (sometimes called valet storage) means a crew collects your things, stores them in a warehouse, and brings them back when you ask. You don't visit the unit yourself, or only by appointment. You usually pay for the space your things actually take, plus a collection and return fee.

Your situationUsually the better fit

One thing people often miss: self-storage prices don't include getting your things there. If you need a mover anyway, add that to the self-storage price before comparing.

The 9 storage providers

This isn't a ranking. Door-to-door services come first, then self-storage, so you can jump to the type you need.

1. VaultFlow (our own service)

Type: Door-to-door · Best for: People moving house or renovating who want packing, collection and storage in one job

VaultFlow is the storage service we started at Reddot. Our own crew collects your things and stores them at our warehouse in Yishun. Every item is photographed and listed in an online dashboard, so you can see what you have without visiting.

Plans range from paying per box for a few cartons up to private vaults that fit a whole flat. The larger vaults are 2.1 m tall, which fits wardrobes and tall shelves that won't stand up in many 1.8 m spaces. Your monthly rate is fixed for your whole term, without paying the term upfront. Longer terms reduce or waive the collection fee.

  • Good: One crew from packing to storage, photo list of every item, rate fixed for your term, option to drop off and collect things yourself instead
  • Watch out: No 24/7 access. You get one free visit a month (up to an hour, booked a day ahead). Per-box and pallet plans must be fully boxed. One warehouse in the north. It's a newer brand, so most of our reviews are still under Reddot Movers.

2. Work+Store

  • Good: 24/7 access, business-friendly facilities, door-to-door option with basic insurance and furniture wrapping included
  • Watch out: Self-storage prices vary a lot by site and size, so get a quote for the exact unit
  • From: $75/month for door-to-door storage (15 sqft), moving from $50 per trip
  • Website: workstore.com.sg

3. EZ Storage

Type: Door-to-door · Best for: Households storing furniture month-to-month

EZ Storage collects, stores and returns your things, using its own movers. Plans are sized by floor space and run month-to-month.

  • Good: No long-term commitment, handles furniture
  • Watch out: Ask for the full cost upfront. Past customers have reported a separate moving fee, admin fee and refundable deposit on top of the monthly plan.
  • From: about $70/month (20 sqft)
  • Website: ezstorage.sg

4. Spaceship

Type: Door-to-door and self-storage · Best for: Businesses and households that want lots of options from one company

Spaceship does door-to-door storage, self-storage, moving, offices with storage, and e-commerce order fulfilment. Door-to-door customers get a barcoded online list of their items and can choose standard or air-conditioned storage.

  • Good: Wide range of services, online item list, 24/7 self-storage access, month-to-month with 14 days' notice
  • Watch out: Moving fees add up. Collection into storage starts from $120 per trip, and the same again to bring things back.
  • From: $72/month for door-to-door storage (20 sqft)
  • Website: spaceship.com.sg

5. BEAM

Type: Door-to-door · Best for: Storing just a few boxes or single items

BEAM lets you store by item instead of renting a whole space, which suits a few boxes, a bicycle or a golf bag. Pickup is free on item plans, and you manage everything in their app.

  • Good: Very low starting price, no minimum storage period, free pickup on item plans, app with photo list
  • Watch out: Delivery back costs $16 per trip. No walk-in access, and self drop-off is by appointment on weekdays only, with a fee. Prices exclude GST.
  • From: $4/month per small box, $8 per large box, or $65/month for a 15 sqft space
  • Website: beamspace.com/sg

6. Extra Space

Type: Self-storage and door-to-door · Best for: People who want a large, established operator with many locations

Extra Space has 12 facilities in Singapore, from Woodlands to Boon Keng, and over 100 across Asia. Self-storage units are open 24/7. It also offers a door-to-door service (e-Valet), moving, wine storage and business workspaces.

  • Good: Many locations, 24/7 access, both self-storage and door-to-door

  • Good: Many neighbourhood locations, 24/7 PIN access, no deposit, competitive locker prices

  • Good: CBD location at Tanjong Pagar, 24/7 access, equipment for moving stock
  • Watch out: No pickup service. Check the admin fee and insurance charge on top of the unit price.
  • From: $68/month for an air-conditioned locker at Tanjong Pagar
  • Website: lockandstore.com/en-sg

Storefriendly has 8 facilities, from Bedok South to Jurong East, all open 24/7. Some sites have robotic storage, where you request your unit on your phone and it's brought to you. It also offers co-working desks and wine storage.

  • Good: 24/7 access, robotic storage at selected sites, month-to-month with no lock-in
  • Watch out: Prices differ between pages on their own website, so confirm the exact unit price before booking. Moving is a separate service.

7 questions to ask any storage provider before you sign

The monthly price on a website is rarely the full cost. These are the questions we'd ask, whoever you choose.

  1. What exactly does the insurance cover, and up to how much? Many basic plans pay by weight (a few dollars per kg), which is very little for a sofa or a TV. Ask what's excluded too: mould and gradual wear are commonly excluded everywhere.
  2. Can the price go up while I'm storing? Ask whether your rate is fixed for your term, how much notice you get before an increase, and whether there's a cap.
  3. What's the minimum term, and what happens if I leave early? Some promos only apply if you stay a set number of months.
  4. What does moving in and out cost? For self-storage, that's your own transport or a mover. For door-to-door, ask for both the collection fee and the return fee.
  5. How do I get my things back, and how fast? Self-storage: check the access hours. Door-to-door: ask how much notice is needed and whether a visit or a single-item delivery costs extra.
  6. Will I know what's where? A photo list of your items saves a lot of digging later, especially for long stays.
  7. Are there one-off fees? Deposits, admin fees, and buying a lock are common extras on self-storage.

Frequently asked questions

How much does storage cost in Singapore?

In October 2026, self-storage lockers start from about $45 to $70 a month, and door-to-door plans from about $70 a month for a small space. Storing a few single boxes can cost under $10 a month each. Larger rooms cost several hundred dollars a month, and moving fees are usually extra.

Is self-storage or door-to-door storage cheaper?

It depends on how much you store and how you get it there. Self-storage often looks cheaper per month, but you pay for the whole unit and your own transport. Door-to-door includes the crew, so compare the total cost over your storage period, not the monthly figure alone.

Can I get to my things while they're in storage?

With self-storage, usually yes, often 24/7. With door-to-door storage, you request items back or book a visit, usually with a day or two's notice. Check whether visits and single-item deliveries cost extra.

Are my belongings insured?

Most providers include basic cover, but it's often limited, sometimes paid by weight. Ask what the maximum payout is, what's excluded (mould and gradual wear commonly are), and whether you can buy higher cover.

Can I store furniture?

Yes, with most providers. Self-storage takes anything that fits through the door. For door-to-door, check whether your plan allows unboxed furniture and whether wrapping is included.

What can't I store?

Almost everywhere bans food and perishables, flammable or hazardous items, and anything illegal. Many also exclude cash and jewellery from insurance unless declared. Check the list before you pack.

Which one should you pick?

If you need to visit your things often or at odd hours, a self-storage facility close to home or work is hard to beat. If you mostly need things kept safe while life is in between, door-to-door storage usually works out simpler and often cheaper once transport is counted.

If you're moving house or renovating and want the storage handled in the same job, that's what we built VaultFlow for. The same Reddot crew packs, collects and stores your things, and every item is photographed so you can see what's in storage online.
